The Daily 3 Superball is a special number which helps to create extra winning combinations. It costs the same price as your base wager to add Superball to your ticket. Find out more about this optional extra and how it can make you a winner.
Adding Superball to your wager is one of the many steps involved in playing Daily 3, but it is the only one that is optional. You can leave the relevant section on your playslip blank if you would prefer not to include it, or just say yes to Superball. You don’t have to do anything extra like pick any more numbers – just be aware that including Superball doubles the cost of a play.
Superball can be applied to all play types, apart from 1-Off wagers.
The Superball itself is a fourth number that is selected as part of the draw. Just like the main numbers, it is drawn randomly from its own pool of 0 to 9, so it could be the same as any of the main numbers or it might be different.
You can replace any of the three main numbers that are drawn with the Superball, and if this is enough to give you a winning combination then you receive a payout. For example, you might play the numbers 123 as a Straight and the numbers drawn are 126. This would not give you a win in the base game, but if the Superball is a 3, you can change the 6 that was drawn and put in the 3 to give you a winning combination.
It is possible to win multiple prizes with the Superball option. For example, if you played 678 as a Box and the numbers drawn were 776, this wager would be lost in the base game. However, if the Fireball is an 8, you could swap out either of the 7s that were drawn to give you two winning combinations – 876 and 786.
